The great classical poet Sultan-ul-Arfeen Hazrat Maulvi Ghulam Rasool Alampuri was born on 29 January 1849,(05 Rabi-ul-Awal 1265 Hijri) in village Alampur,Tehsil Dasuya,District Hushiarpur India and he died on 7 March 1892 A.D and according to Islamic calendar 7 Shaban 1309 Hijri in the age of 43 years and he was buried in graveyard of village Alampur,tehsil Dasuya,Distt. Hoshiarpur, India and his holy shrine is also there. His poetry directly inspired the hearts of people of different religion. A Memorial Hall and library,in his memory have been constructed in Govt. High School Alampur,Distt. Hoshiarpur, India. A PhD thesis written by Dr.Uttam Singh Bhatia which is published by Language Department Punjab Patiala. Books of Hazrat Maulvi Sahib have also been included from Matric to M.A level in Pakistan.Two PhD’s have also been completed on the personality and poetry of Hazrat Maulvi Sahib in Pakistan.“Hazrat Maulvi Ghulam Rasool Alampuri Foundation (Regd.)” has done a great/marvelous work in collecting and explaining the work of the great classical poet Hazrat Maulvi Ghulam Rasool Alampuri. Seminars and other literary sessions are being conducted from this platform in which shields and certificates for their good deeds are awarded to learned scholars and social personalities. Hazrat Maulvi Ghulam Rasool Alampuri Foundation (Regd.) has been established to celebrate the day of great classical poet Sultan-ul-Arfeen Hazrat Maulvi Ghulam Rasool Alampuri, to publish his literary works and to build research Centre, library, school, college and hospital in his memory. The construction of his shrine and the welfare of the humanity are also the main objectives of the establishment of this organization. By the grace of Almighty Allah this is an international organization.
